What’s your formal title at HFL? Family Law Assistant
Break it down for us, what does that really mean? I’m still figuring it out (newly qualified!) but in general, I assist our clients with all matters relating to divorce and family law.
How long have you been with HFL? I’m brand new! I’ve been here about 1 month so far (Nov 2021)
In 140 characters or less, tell me what interested you about working in a law office as your career?
Why do you do what you do? After the death of my partner, there were so many intricacies involved and I do not like to remain ignorant and so I took up the legal assistant course to help me understand better and beyond that, to be able to be of assistance in that area.
Tell us, what are your legit credentials? I have BA. Communication Science and a Legal Assistant Diploma
Are you an early bird or a night owl? Night owl for sure!
The best piece of advice you’ve ever received? Never become an expert at something that may enslave you
Sweet or salty? What’s your go-to craveable snack? Sweet all the way
What’s the best thing about working at HFL? It feels safe and everyone has been incredibly helpful
Tell us a fun fact about you that you can share: I love discovering new places as a lone anonymous traveler
Tell us your hidden talent: I can go 48 hours without sleep (being a former journalist & PR exec sleep was a luxury)
What energizes you at work? When there is something new to learn (my mind never stops!)
Who do you admire & why? People who make their dreams come true because they often leave a legacy
What are you currently binge-watching on Netflix? Sadly, nothing. I’m a book worm and I’m currently reading “Vanderbilt” by Anderson Cooper
Favourite go-to local spot (coffee, retail, food, etc.)? Jeffrey’s Cafe – for their Belloq No.1 tea and soups!
