Michael Moman
Michael is a Grande Prairie local, whose legal career technically began in the first grade at Swanavon School, where he arrived for career day briefcase in hand, dressed as a lawyer. A proud high school graduate of the Comp, Michael’s path to the law was paved with a decade of diverse professional experience. He first earned his Interactive Digital Design Studies in Music from GPRC, followed by Radio and Television Broadcasting in Saskatoon. After ten years in the radio industry, he returned to academia to complete a BA in Sociology with a focus on Crime and Deviance.
Michael’s legal education took him to Bond University in Australia, where he excelled, graduating with Distinction and achieving first-in-class honors in Corporate Law. Balancing the rigors of law school while becoming a father, Michael developed a level of discipline and resilience that defines his practice today. Ultimately, the pull of home was too strong; he returned to Canada to raise his family in his hometown, bringing his international legal education back to the community that raised him.
Outside of the office, Michael is a proud father and a devoted husband who remains deeply connected to his creative roots. While he has traded in his 14-inch mohawk from his punk band days for a suit, he remains a dedicated musician who loves singing and playing guitar and bass. When he isn’t at his desk, you can find him working as the creator and artist for an independent comic book, proving that his eye for detail is just as sharp on the page as it is in a legal brief.
